What is IRON MEN?
It’s not a group. It’s not a club. It’s not a breakfast. It’s not an event. Or a catchy slogan.
It’s an idea.
It’s a vision.
A blueprint.
To change the status quo.
Here are the facts1:
- Over 25,000,000 kids will go to bed tonight without their dad in the house
- 1 in 3 kids are born out of wedlock
- 85 percent of all prison inmates report the absence of a father figure in their lives
- 1 in 2 men are divorced
- 6 in 10 men pay the monthly minimum on credit card bills
- 1 in 2 men have major problems with pornography (the ones that admit it)
- 1 in 10 men have a biblical worldview
- Every man struggles to balance work, family, and relationships with others
Men, we aren’t complicated. Give us a cause to die for and someone to share it with and make this life count, for the next one in eternity. It’s what Jesus did for you. You can trust Him. It starts there.
The Plan
- Create attractive environments like the Iron Men monthly breakfast and Iron Men Advance yearly retreat to saturate guys with real answers to their very real problems
- Funnel men through core discipleship groups like Life Steps
- Locate and determine unique giftings of each man and release them through strategic volunteering into various ministries at Life Church
- Build balanced servant leaders who engage their family, church, their community, and serve their Lord
